Therapy With Tasneem

Trauma Therapy

Trauma can leave deep emotional and physical imprints that affect daily life, relationships, and overall wellbeing. Whether it stems from childhood experiences, loss, abuse, or sudden life events, the impact can feel overwhelming and isolating. Trauma therapy offers a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, without judgment, and with tools to help you heal.

Emotional Safety

You will have a safe, confidential space to share your story without fear of judgment. Trauma therapy is designed to move at a pace that feels comfortable, ensuring you feel secure throughout your journey.

Processing & Healing

Through evidence-based approaches like EMDR, CBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma therapy helps you process painful memories in a healthy way, reduce emotional triggers, and find new meaning in your experiences.

Building Resilience

Trauma therapy focuses on helping you regain balance, rebuild trust, and strengthen your coping skills. Over time, you’ll cultivate resilience that allows you to live more fully and embrace the future with greater confidence.

Any Questions

I work with people who are navigating many of life’s challenges, with a particular focus on trauma and anxiety. I also support clients who may be experiencing depression, stress, grief and loss, or difficulties in their relationships. For some, it may be struggles with low self-esteem or a sense of feeling stuck in life, while for others it’s about wanting to grow personally and build healthier ways of coping. Whatever you are facing, my aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can begin to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and move towards healing and change.
Yes, I work with both the Muslim community and the wider UK community. My approach is inclusive, respectful, and sensitive to cultural and faith-based values, while also welcoming clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. I understand that each person’s experiences are shaped by their identity, culture, and environment, and I aim to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted. Whether you’re seeking therapy that acknowledges your faith and cultural context, or simply a safe, supportive place to explore your challenges, you are warmly welcome here.
Scheduling an appointment is easy. You can reach out to me via the contact form on this website, by email, phone, or WhatsApp. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know each other a little, talk about what brings you to therapy, and decide together if we’re the right fit. From there, we can arrange a time for your first session, either online or in person, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll be happy to help.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of different therapy approaches to suit your individual needs. This means that rather than using a ‘one-size-fits-all’ method, I tailor our work together to what feels most helpful for you. My practice includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Transactional Analysis, as well as the Gottman Method for relationship work. Each of these approaches offers unique tools for healing, self-understanding, and growth, and together we can explore which ones best support your journey.
Sessions are held in a way that works best for you. I offer a limited number of face-to-face appointments, as well as online sessions via Zoom and phone sessions if you prefer. Each session lasts 1 hour, and together we can decide on a pace that feels right for you whether that’s weekly or fortnightly. This flexibility means you can choose the format and frequency that best supports your needs, while always having a supportive and confidential space to focus on your wellbeing.
Sessions are priced between £80 and £120 per hour, depending on the length of the session and whether they include EMDR. We can discuss the options during your free 20-minute consultation so you have a clear idea of what feels right for you before starting therapy. My aim is to make the process as transparent as possible, so you know exactly what to expect.
