Therapy With Tasneem

Couples Therapy Sessions

Relationships can feel difficult at times. You may find yourselves arguing more, feeling distant, or struggling to understand each other. In couples therapy, I offer a space where both of you can talk openly and feel heard without judgment. We simply start from where you are. Many people come when communication breaks down, trust feels shaken, or small issues begin to feel bigger over time. Sometimes personal emotional struggles or unresolved experiences explored through individual therapy can also affect relationships.

As a couples therapy therapist, I support you in understanding each other better and finding a way forward together. For couples affected by stressful or painful past experiences, support through trauma therapy may also help improve emotional understanding and connection.

If you are looking for couples therapy UK, this is a calm space where you can work through things at your own pace.

Online Couples Therapy

Sometimes it feels hard to sit together and talk. Conversations can turn tense, or get pushed aside because life feels too busy. Online couples therapy makes it possible to have that space without needing to be in the same room. You can both join from where you feel more at ease. In online couples therapy UK, sessions often feel a little calmer for this reason. You have time to speak, listen, and notice what is really going on between you. We keep things simple. There is space for both of you, without pressure, just a steady way to understand things together.

Couples Counseling

Sometimes things between you can feel hard. You may argue more, feel distant, or stop understanding each other. In couples counseling, things are slowed down so both of you can talk and listen without stress. There is space for each of you to share how you feel and what has been difficult. We focus on what is happening between you right now, so things start to feel clearer and easier to understand. Many people who look for couples counseling in Birmingham just want a calm space where they can talk things through.

When Communication Feels Hard

Sometimes it becomes difficult to talk without misunderstandings. Small things can turn into arguments, or you may stop sharing how you really feel. In couples counseling, we look at how you both communicate and what gets in the way of understanding each other. The aim is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to help you both feel heard and understood again. We take things slowly so conversations start to feel safer, clearer, and less stressful over time.

Any Questions

I work with people who are navigating many of life’s challenges, with a particular focus on trauma and anxiety. I also support clients who may be experiencing depression, stress, grief and loss, or difficulties in their relationships. For some, it may be struggles with low self-esteem or a sense of feeling stuck in life, while for others it’s about wanting to grow personally and build healthier ways of coping. Whatever you are facing, my aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can begin to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and move towards healing and change.
Yes, I work with both the Muslim community and the wider UK community. My approach is inclusive, respectful, and sensitive to cultural and faith-based values, while also welcoming clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. I understand that each person’s experiences are shaped by their identity, culture, and environment, and I aim to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted. Whether you’re seeking therapy that acknowledges your faith and cultural context, or simply a safe, supportive place to explore your challenges, you are warmly welcome here.
Scheduling an appointment is easy. You can reach out to me via the contact form on this website, by email, phone, or WhatsApp. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know each other a little, talk about what brings you to therapy, and decide together if we’re the right fit. From there, we can arrange a time for your first session, either online or in person, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll be happy to help.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of different therapy approaches to suit your individual needs. This means that rather than using a ‘one-size-fits-all’ method, I tailor our work together to what feels most helpful for you. My practice includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Transactional Analysis, as well as the Gottman Method for relationship work. Each of these approaches offers unique tools for healing, self-understanding, and growth, and together we can explore which ones best support your journey.
Sessions are held in a way that works best for you. I offer a limited number of face-to-face appointments, as well as online sessions via Zoom and phone sessions if you prefer. Each session lasts 1 hour, and together we can decide on a pace that feels right for you whether that’s weekly or fortnightly. This flexibility means you can choose the format and frequency that best supports your needs, while always having a supportive and confidential space to focus on your wellbeing.
Sessions are priced between £80 and £120 per hour, depending on the length of the session and whether they include EMDR. We can discuss the options during your free 20-minute consultation so you have a clear idea of what feels right for you before starting therapy. My aim is to make the process as transparent as possible, so you know exactly what to expect.
