Therapy With Tasneem

Individual Therapy Sessions

Life can feel too heavy sometimes. You may feel stuck in your thoughts, anxious, or unsure about what you are going through. In individual therapy sessions, I offer you a quiet and safe space where you can speak freely and just be yourself. Many people come when they feel overwhelmed, low, overthinking a lot, or finding it hard to manage relationships and daily life. Sometimes these feelings can also be connected to deeper emotional experiences that may benefit from trauma therapy. In our sessions, we simply talk.

I listen, and we try to understand what is really going on for you, at a pace that feels comfortable. For some people, difficult memories may continue to feel emotionally intense, which is why approaches like EMDR therapy can also be helpful alongside individual support.

If you feel like this is something you need, you can reach out whenever you are ready.

Non Trauma Individual Therapy

Sometimes you may want support without going into painful past experiences. You might just need help with what you are feeling in your day-to-day life. In non trauma individual therapy, we focus on your present thoughts, emotions, and challenges. There is no pressure to talk about the past. We go at a gentle pace and only talk about what feels comfortable for you. The aim is to help you feel more clear, supported, and understood in your current situation.

Individual Therapy for Relationships

Relationships can feel confusing at times. You may struggle to express yourself, feel misunderstood, or notice distance growing between you and others. In individual therapy for relationship issues, we gently explore what is happening for you in your relationships and how it is affecting you emotionally. We focus on your feelings, reactions, and patterns, so you can understand yourself better and respond in a calmer, healthier way. There is no blame or pressure—just a safe space to talk and make sense of things.

Support for Anxiety and Overthinking

Sometimes your mind just doesn’t switch off. You may keep thinking about the same things again and again, feel restless, or worry even when nothing seems wrong. In sessions, we talk about what’s going on for you in a simple way. You don’t need to explain it perfectly—we just start where you are. Little by little, we look at what is making things feel heavy and how it is affecting your day-to-day life. The aim is not to stop your thoughts quickly, but to help you feel a bit more calm, clear, and lighter over time.

Many people choose this when they just want a real, human connection and a safe place to talk about what is going on in their life. You are free to come as you are, and we simply talk step by step in a gentle way.

Any Questions

I work with people who are navigating many of life’s challenges, with a particular focus on trauma and anxiety. I also support clients who may be experiencing depression, stress, grief and loss, or difficulties in their relationships. For some, it may be struggles with low self-esteem or a sense of feeling stuck in life, while for others it’s about wanting to grow personally and build healthier ways of coping. Whatever you are facing, my aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can begin to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and move towards healing and change.
Yes, I work with both the Muslim community and the wider UK community. My approach is inclusive, respectful, and sensitive to cultural and faith-based values, while also welcoming clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. I understand that each person’s experiences are shaped by their identity, culture, and environment, and I aim to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted. Whether you’re seeking therapy that acknowledges your faith and cultural context, or simply a safe, supportive place to explore your challenges, you are warmly welcome here.
Scheduling an appointment is easy. You can reach out to me via the contact form on this website, by email, phone, or WhatsApp. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know each other a little, talk about what brings you to therapy, and decide together if we’re the right fit. From there, we can arrange a time for your first session, either online or in person, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll be happy to help.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of different therapy approaches to suit your individual needs. This means that rather than using a ‘one-size-fits-all’ method, I tailor our work together to what feels most helpful for you. My practice includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Transactional Analysis, as well as the Gottman Method for relationship work. Each of these approaches offers unique tools for healing, self-understanding, and growth, and together we can explore which ones best support your journey.
Sessions are held in a way that works best for you. I offer a limited number of face-to-face appointments, as well as online sessions via Zoom and phone sessions if you prefer. Each session lasts 1 hour, and together we can decide on a pace that feels right for you whether that’s weekly or fortnightly. This flexibility means you can choose the format and frequency that best supports your needs, while always having a supportive and confidential space to focus on your wellbeing.
Sessions are priced between £80 and £120 per hour, depending on the length of the session and whether they include EMDR. We can discuss the options during your free 20-minute consultation so you have a clear idea of what feels right for you before starting therapy. My aim is to make the process as transparent as possible, so you know exactly what to expect.
