Therapy With Tasneem

EMDR Therapy Sessions

In EMDR therapy sessions, I work with you in a calm and steady way to process difficult experiences. You may notice certain memories still feel strong or that your reactions feel hard to manage. These often come from past experiences that haven’t fully settled. I use EMDR therapy for trauma and PTSD to help you process what feels stuck, so it becomes easier to handle in everyday life. We work gently with trauma memories, at a pace that feels safe for you. There is no pressure to go into detail unless you feel ready.

EMDR is often used as part of broader trauma therapy support, especially for people struggling with distressing memories, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm. 3 For some, this can include more sensitive experiences, such as EMDR therapy for sexual trauma, where everything is approached with care. Some people also benefit from combining this work with ongoing individual therapy sessions for additional emotional support.

If this feels right for you, you can reach out when you are ready.

EMDR Therapy for Trauma and PTSD

I often work with people who feel the effects of trauma or PTSD in their daily life. This can show up as feeling on edge, having unwanted memories, or finding it hard to relax. With EMDR therapy, we gently work through these experiences so they don’t feel as intense as they do now. We focus on what feels most present for you, whether it is specific memories or ongoing reactions. Everything is done at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Over time, this can help you feel more steady, more in control, and less affected by the past. If this feels like the kind of support you need, you can reach out when you are ready.

EMDR Therapy for Sexual Trauma

I work with people who are carrying the impact of sexual trauma in different ways. You may feel unsafe, disconnected, or affected by memories and reactions that are hard to explain. With EMDR therapy, we approach these experiences very gently. You are always in control of what you share and how we work. There is no need to go into detail unless you feel ready. We focus on helping your mind process what has happened so it feels less overwhelming over time. The aim is to help you feel more grounded, safer within yourself, and more in control of how you feel. If this feels like the kind of support you need, you can reach out when you are ready.

Online EMDR Therapy

Sometimes it feels easier to talk from your own space, especially when things already feel overwhelming. In online EMDR therapy, I work with you in the same calm and steady way, helping you process difficult experiences without needing to be in the room. You may still be holding on to certain memories or reactions that feel hard to manage. We work gently with these, at a pace that feels safe for you. The focus is on helping you feel more settled and less affected by what you have been through. If this feels like the right way for you to start, you can reach out when you are ready.

Any Questions

I work with people who are navigating many of life’s challenges, with a particular focus on trauma and anxiety. I also support clients who may be experiencing depression, stress, grief and loss, or difficulties in their relationships. For some, it may be struggles with low self-esteem or a sense of feeling stuck in life, while for others it’s about wanting to grow personally and build healthier ways of coping. Whatever you are facing, my aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can begin to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and move towards healing and change.
Yes, I work with both the Muslim community and the wider UK community. My approach is inclusive, respectful, and sensitive to cultural and faith-based values, while also welcoming clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. I understand that each person’s experiences are shaped by their identity, culture, and environment, and I aim to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted. Whether you’re seeking therapy that acknowledges your faith and cultural context, or simply a safe, supportive place to explore your challenges, you are warmly welcome here.
Scheduling an appointment is easy. You can reach out to me via the contact form on this website, by email, phone, or WhatsApp. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know each other a little, talk about what brings you to therapy, and decide together if we’re the right fit. From there, we can arrange a time for your first session, either online or in person, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll be happy to help.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of different therapy approaches to suit your individual needs. This means that rather than using a ‘one-size-fits-all’ method, I tailor our work together to what feels most helpful for you. My practice includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Transactional Analysis, as well as the Gottman Method for relationship work. Each of these approaches offers unique tools for healing, self-understanding, and growth, and together we can explore which ones best support your journey.
Sessions are held in a way that works best for you. I offer a limited number of face-to-face appointments, as well as online sessions via Zoom and phone sessions if you prefer. Each session lasts 1 hour, and together we can decide on a pace that feels right for you whether that’s weekly or fortnightly. This flexibility means you can choose the format and frequency that best supports your needs, while always having a supportive and confidential space to focus on your wellbeing.
Sessions are priced between £80 and £120 per hour, depending on the length of the session and whether they include EMDR. We can discuss the options during your free 20-minute consultation so you have a clear idea of what feels right for you before starting therapy. My aim is to make the process as transparent as possible, so you know exactly what to expect.
